Does your diesel engine have a provision to drive a hydraulic pump, but you don't want the pump to be activated and in use every time the engine is running? Several of our customers had this problem, so we solved the problem with this Clutch-Can Clutch! Now you can control the activation of the pump from your wheelhouse instantly with the flip of the switch!
Our new Clutch-Can bolts into the engine PTO (your engine must have the SAE B pad with Splined 7/8" diameter 13 tooth shaft arrangement) and contains a proven and reliable pits electro clutch - 12 VDC that will drive an optional V20 hydraulic pump (the pump must be equipped with a straight keyed shaft which has been drilled & tapped). Once the pump is installed onto the new clutch-Can clutch, the entire assembly is easy to install, and will give you 12 gallons per Minute (GPM at 1200 Engine RPM) of hydraulic flow to power haulers, winches, gillnet/longline drums etc. And if you need a hydraulic tank, system valves, filters, etc. we can assist you with those items too.
Kolstrand's clutch-can electro clutch requires a customer furnished engine PTO (that has the SAE B pad with Splined 7/8" diameter 13 tooth shaft arrangement), an optional V20 hydraulic pump (with drilled and tapped pump shaft), and a toggle switch (usually mounted in the pilot house in which to engage/disengage the clutch).
Clutch has a 90 Lbs. ft. static break-away torque rating at 12 Volts DC.--current amp draw is 4 amps.
