This plug fid allows for remote release of the T30 snap and trigger shackles.
Fid is pushed into the trigger hole and the tapered rear of the fid allows the trigger to snap closed, which will hold the fid in place. A lanyard may then be placed into either of the two hole-locations for either 'Side-Release' or 'Rear-Release', depending upon how you want to operate and shackle.
For 'Side-Release', the lanyard is attached to the blunt-end of the fid, and may be pulled out to release the shackle.
For 'Rear-Release', the lanyard is attached to the tapered-end of the fid, and simply pulled. In this action, the fid pries upon the trigger but stays captive within the shackle.
