This 316L Stainless Steel #08 Full Coupling is the perfect fitting to use, if you want to simply drill-out your deck, and weld it in (to make a permanent Thru-Deck Fitting). Or should you want to make your own Thru-Deck Fitting using your own mounting plate and install/weld many Full Couplings of different sizes for multiple O-Ring Leak-proof connections.
The #08 Full Coupling is designed for today's medium pressure hydraulic systems (to 3000 PSI) and measures 1-1/4" Diameter and is 3-1/2" Long, to make it easier to install than other Full Couplings on the market.
An O-Ring Boss Seal is a technique for joining two fluid-carrying pipes, hoses or tubing. In an O-ring boss (abbreviated ORB) system, a male-threaded part is inserted into a female-threaded part, providing a mechanical seal. This system differs from others in that an additional nut is tightened over an O-ring into a chamfered area, creating a fluid-tight seal.
