NOTE: A simple schematic of a system utilizing a motor/brake is shown above. If you have any questions concerning the installation of the winch into your hydraulic system, please contact us and we'll be glad to assist you. Although maximum brake release pressure may be used for the brake release application, a 34 bar [500 psi] pressure reducing valve is pre-plumbed onto the winch motor to promote maximum life for the brake release piston seals. In the event of a pump or battery failure, an external pressure source may be connected to the brake release port to release the brake, allowing the winch to lower a load.
