The Kolstrand King Crab Double-Acting Pot Launcher is designed with two movable tables to give maximum and safe handling of the largest 6’ X 6’ or 7’ X 7’ King Crab Pots. After the pot is positioned onto the main Table, it's secured to the table by the provided movable locking dogs. Once the pot is secured to the main top table, the operator may ‘lift’ the Table (to assist in the removal of the crab from the pot), or ‘tilt’ the table inboard (to further assist in the removal of crab from the pot), or ‘lift’ the top table (to re-launch the pot over the side of the vessel).
The Kolstrand King Crab Pot Launcher, as per the above description, consists of heavy-duty galvanized steel double-acting tables, complete with (4) hydraulic operating cylinders that extend and retract in which to move the tables. It is further equipped with actuated locking dogs in which to secure the fishing trap/pot to the top table via its locking dog hydraulic cylinders. All cylinders have been ‘marinized’ for use in the salt-water environment and all cylinders are equipped with Stainless Steel rods.
The Kolstrand King Crab Pot Launcher comes complete with the fabricated rail-mount plate for easier welding and installing pot launcher into the vessel.
NOTE: Special hydraulic cylinders are equipped with special stainless steel heat-treated rods, and have been externally flame-sprayed with a zinc-coating and painted with 2-part epoxy paint for protection and long use in the salt-water environment and the Pot launcher tables are manufactured in fabricated steel then hot-dipped galvanized, again for extended use in the marine environment.
