NOTE: Winch is designed to be installed by bolting to your deck or rail by using the (6) large 5/8" diameter mounting holes in the frame. The bottom of the housing is open to make connecting the necessary pressure and return hose lines very easy to plumb to. Lightweight aluminum housing is super-strong and is designed for the customer to mount easily, and to get up to 2,900 Lbs of pulling power where you need it most!
The Kolstrand all aluminum capstan winch needs a strong deck or rail to mount to! If you have any doubts with regards to the strength of your deck or rail, consult with your Naval Architect and follow their recommendations.
